My son found this Bullet at an old site hunting which is a cool find considering the territory of Utah is only 200 years old. Any help would be appreciate in telling me about it. There is an initial of ?DL. where the primer goes.. Cant read the first letter, but looks like a C. Thanks in Advance

Post in "What Is It?" forum along with precise measurement with calipers. Could this be a Spencer carbine?

Yep...... several of the old ones were rimfire. Calipers are about the only good way to tell caliber etc. Bet some of the experts will nail it for ya soon. Congrats.
