Help identify this coin. Medieval?

Found this in a field in western Bavaria. I'm not even sure it's a coin but I think so. My friend said he thinks it's medieval, hence the hole, as they would sew their coins into their clothes in case they got robbed, or put them on a string. The cross is interesting anyway. Thanks for any input.

Doesn't look hammered, so, it may not be as old as you think. Cool find though! The eagle looks German to me. Germany made so many different coins through the years, it would take a while to find the exact one. With the cross on one side, it may be a religious piece.

Yeah I also wasn't sure. It dosnt have a year on it so I was sceptical as well.

its not the same coin but that kind of eagle looks similar.
