Found this unique item tonight I know the words on the back mean memories of the war of redemption has anyone seen one of these before and what it is I believe it's Italian image.webpimage.webpit has to do with ww 1

Frank De Caro specialized in making military uniforms resembling the grenadiers and cavalrymen of the Italian army. They were worn by the officers of the mutual benefit associations who marched in the feast day processions. His firm also made banners, flags and badges. His office was located in New YorkCity at 169-171 Grand Street. Your item appears to be a watch fob.
