yep it sure is.i knew it was and i think it's some sort of covered vase.or a bad version of a pot belly stove lol.pretty neat though.

Goodyear rubber buttons date back to the mid 19 th cetury

The one example of a hard rubber button in Albert's , dated 1860s, has an imbedded iron shank. That's all I have to add. :dontknow:
