Help Identifying Sustainable Jewelry Necklace

Came across this necklace made of recycled material and was trying to find the designer. I'm not sure exactly what it is made of, but I think the ornament is some sort of wire dipped in silver. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Looks like costume jewelry to me. Maybe aluminum or stainless on the hook.
