Help Identifying This Coin!

Looks like spanish copper to me but I'm no expert. Any advice? Found it in San German, Puerto Rico. Lots of history on this town!!

well until the USA took control of it via the Spanish American war in 1899 /1901 --it was a Spanish colony , so Spanish coins would have been the common money used..

old Spanish copper coins were called maravidis .. and newer ones .. centavos
