✅ SOLVED Help identifying this round brass medallion(?)

I found this round metal thing that looks like a medallion. It's brass or bronze (non-metallic). Note the broken loop on the top of the thing, which leads me to suspect it was hung from something. It's thin and mostly flat with a few concentric undulations. The center sticks out the furthest. It has no markings. I found it under some rocks (i.e., it was deep) detecting at a house build in 1820 in Lunenburg, MA.

I agree -- kind of anti-climactic. I was expecting something cooler, but I will still take it. It is still history!!
