Help IDing ring

Hi,
I'm doing a re post because the JPG attachment was to large.
I found this old gold ring today. No carrot stamp on ring.
Any Ideas as to where its from? I am guessing a Mason ring
or possibly a Minnesota Artillery ring? Any help appreciated.

Could MA be initials of a person or school and I was thinking the same for 14...the year 1914.

Could it be a college...can't see if being high school, but I've been wrong before back in 1964... LOL!

It could be an old Scottish Rite Masonic ring. The 14 could be a 14th degree mason. I am confused as to the crossed "MA" might be.

MA might refer to master of arts degree as well.
