Help in identifying these Old Virgina home site finds.

I need help in trying to find out what the eagle is and the age of the old inlaid cross pendant. These were found on a old home site in Virgina where I also found a civil war button. The eagle has a stud on the back and a small loop in the front that you can see in the other picture. Any help would be great. Thanks and happy hunting.
