I found this wheetie a month ago and it has been killing me. It appears that there could be a mint mark, but surface damage from the ground has made it hard to id. It's definitely 1914. Is this a D I am seeing or is it wishful thinking. Any ideas on how to make it more visible without removing the mint mark if it is there?

The coin:
1914?.webp

and What I think I may see:
1914?b.webp

Can't see a "D" myself but here's to hoping it is for you!

If there was a 'D' there, it would be bigger than that circle in your picture... I'm thinking it's just a plain, but it can't hurt to dream big!

NO I am sorry..................From these pics............I will say 1914 plain.......P

I don't see it sorry but hey I thought I found my 1st gold coin the other day... :tongue3:

As good as that picture is I don't see it. I have been soaking my Indians in olive oil and they seem to come out better then being soaked in mineral oil.

Sorry, doesn't look like a D to me. :(

Keep looking though - one of us is bound to find one sooner or later and it might as well be you!
