I posted this also on the Illinois forum.
I found this wheat penny about a month ago and it has really been bothering me. There is a lot of surface damage from being in the ground, but I have a sneaking suspicion that there is a mint mark. I have soaked in mineral oil and etc. These photos give a good view. It's clear it's 1914, but is this a d I am seeing or not? If so what's best, see if I can get ANACS to cert and slab it, I don't know if there is anyway to get the mark more visible if it is really a mark without completely destroying it. Here's 2 pics, tell me what you think:

What I think I see
