Help me ID this coin please and thanks.

My mother gave this to me and asked me to ID it. Im guessing Augustus Ceasar but I don't know for sure and help would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like one of the 30 pieces of silver as mentioned in the Bible: Phoenicia, Tyre. Silver half shekel with head of Melqart. The diameter of such a coin would be between 22 and 24mm and weigh just under 7 grams.

It's the diamiter of a U.S. quarter but thicker. I don't have a proper measuring tool. It weighs 12.3 grams.

US quarter weighs 24.3 grams. Instead of a half shekel your coin is a full shekel.
It is sometimes described as a Greek Syria coin.

If behind the eagle's head the initials are 'KP', the date range would be between 18 BC and 66 AD; otherwise the date range was expanded.
