Hi Everyone
I just wanted to see if anyone could help me ID this item.
I'm not sure if its a oxen shoe or part of a civil-war pistol.
Now the background story to this is, about 15 or so years ago I was standing on top of a
civil war fort in or around Portsmouth NH. I actually stepped on this and brought it home with me.
I have kept it in container eversince, not thinking about it much. Every now and then I would come
across the container, open it up and wonder what it is.
So can anyone give me some help and ideas????????????

Wanted to head out today 4/4/08, but its raining and snowing, and looks like I'll just be sitting at home
instead.

HH to all

First thought is an Ox shoe

I think it's an ox shoe.... I have one here in Germany that looks almost exactly like it.  They used them alot here to plow and pull carts.  they are still cool when you tell someone it's an ox shoe, they look at you like a monkey doing a math problem !!! :icon_scratch:

Yes oxen shoe

Nailed, nailed and nailed...ox shoe. I can't walk ten feet without pulling one of those from the ground.

100% correct. It is an oxen shoe....I have recovered MANY of them in my yard. Cool find!
