Hello, new guy here. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the type of material these two are made of. I think they are the same, found about 5 miles apart. Came from mid southern MI. I found the small one and another not pictured and I believe a piece of hardstone last night, first for the year, now there is 3" of snow. Thanks for any help. Rob.

The large point appears to be hornstone. Cannot tell on the other.
Nice finds.

The small one brings to mind a type of "upper mercer' called "Ohio blue"
Found my first piece last year.Looks like your stuff, but I'm not sure.
Nice finds for sure! Paleo

PS... Upper Mercer is from somewhere in southeast Ohio.

A flint type from Newark, OH native quarries is referred to as Nellie Blue. Maybe it is the same as the reference to Ohio Blue?
