No, sorry about my vague description of where on that page had the relevant information. Fairly near the bottom it shows the type of attachment on the back that yours has, describing that it is from after WWII. The infantry insignia on the front was essentially the same then (different weapon same design).1910-1924 Infantry collar disk? Thanks!

I think your New York button is a civilian fashion one. It actually looks like a snap you would find at the top of the fly on a pair of blue jeans(denim). It may have been used by the company known as Paper Denim & Cloth LLC. That would explain the ampersand in the middle of the button design. Here's a link that might help.
