Hello Treasure Hunters,
I'm hoping someone out there might be able to help me learn about this vase. I found it about 2 weeks ago under about 2ft. of soil. It was buried with various other items that range in age from 10 - 80yrs. That is one thing that makes it difficult for me to try and date the vase. Also there are no marks on the vase to tell who made it.
I think those are wheat stalks on the front and it is, in my mind, heavily gilded. It stands 7" tall, the opening is oval shaped and is 2" across.
I showed it to an antique dealer who is usually spot on and she thinks the vase is 19th century victorian.
If anyone has any info I would appreciate hearing from you.
Thanks.
