help whit my old aquasound,please

I am working in several times whit my old aquasound(whit usa flags on the coils).Is a wonderfull detector here in Acapulco but when 3 hrs of working, the thresold sound lows a lot ,and the sound signs are not cleare how the biggining?Maybe the batteries?Do you know if the inside charger is for nimh batteries?

I don't know about the charger for the batteries, but was going to suggest you remove the coil cover to clean it out and see if that helps.
