005.webp006.webpAll I know about it so far is that It is a ladies mesh ring made of gold plated brass,with a blood stone and it is smooshed.I am hoping someone can verify it's age and if possible place of origin.I know it is no earlier then early 1800's considering the plating.But I don't know if it is even really that old at all? joe

Joe, Since I'm not looking at your ring in person, I can't tell if it is a reproduction or antique, but I'll give you some history on 'mesh.' Metal mesh was popular during the late Victorian times, especially for ladies purses. It stayed popular through the turn of the century and by the Roaring 20s, the mesh purses were made of beads more than metal. If your ring is not a reproduction, the time period could be from 1885-ish to 19-teens.
