Help with arab looking coin please

Hi all, I was hoping someone could tell me about this coin I found in a half dollar roll. It only weighs 11.1 grams and I think it should be heavier if silver but it does sound silver.

I can't see the details well enough to date this coin, but they are all about the same catalog value.
minted with Islamic dating AH 1330-1343 under Mir Usman Ali Kahn who ruled from 1911-1948 A.D.

Good catch. It seems like these should be worth more. The Krause value is before the price of silver went up.

Hey, thanks a lot, wagbert. This coin really puzzles me. It seems to be the same size as a us half dollar and you say the fineness is better than 80%, so shouldn't it be closer in weight to a 90% us half dollar than a clad half? Or is it a slightly smaller size that I just can't tell by eye? Any additional info you could provide would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Ok, with the info you provided, I searched and found the diameter is slightly smaller than for a US half, so I guess that explains the weight. Couldn't find the thickness but maybe that's slightly less as well.

I didn't name the Indian State where your coin came from, so I am glad you were able to find it. For the folks just tuning in it was made for "Hyderabad".
Sure worth more than 50cts.! It would have to be some thinner too as our older 90% silver half dollars were on the chunky side. U. S. 50cts, 0.3617 oz. ASW, 30.6 mm, and 12.500 grams. So the difference in weight would be a combination of the fineness, diameters, and thicknesses of the two coins.
Did you figure out the date? I have trouble with their dating system.

I haven't figured out the date yet but have it narrowed down between 1902-1911. What I found researching it was the design on the coin was made during those years. Or at least, comparing pictures, my coin seems to match up. I was surprised by the variety of coins they made. I'll post if I figure out, or someone comes up with, the actual date.
