Found this recently in an area where we found artillery shells. I was told it was a fuze adapter, and I was told it wasn't.

That would be the correct wording....but at over 1inch in diameter it's not for any brake line.

Looks to me like a fitting for a cast iron radiator, that piece would have a nut shaped piece around it and it would thread into the radiator and then the valve would attach with the nut shaped part that's missing.

70 and on MOPAR heater nipple. Would have been installed with a square drive in the unthreaded end.
