🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Help with Gold Ring Mark

Hello All,

This 14K solitaire ring was dug in an 1880-1930 site. Doesn’t mean that it’s that old but I suspect that it is since the setting and prongs are silver. Does anyone know what the marks before and after “14K” mean, or an approximate age/country of origin for the ring?

It’s not plated.

Sure the silver looking prongs aren't platinum? That's usually the case as PLAT is stronger than gold and therefore a better material to hold precious stones.

That well could be! I don’t know what they’re made of but they didn’t tarnish in the soil and they’re silver colored. To be honest I’ve never recovered a platinum ring so I don’t know how they hold up in the soil.
