🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Help with heavy cast iron piece

Posted this before , but I have since removed rust. Found in area where a store or shop was in late 1800’s early 1900’s.
Piece is 8” long , heavy thick cast iron, tubular top or bottom off something.
Edges are grooved down along each side, one end is tapered, the other is tapered with a slight rise inside end that has a groove leading out the end as a hole, as if something went through hole into the inside. Machinery piece or engine or who knows? Any help appreciated.

My guess is a pig iron window weight. hole is for the rope. Just a guess.

Might be one of the many pieces from an old coal stove, like a corner piece...

Could it be a mold for pouring something in to let it cold?
