Found this about a foot down at the base an eroded sand dune. Rings up as silver, but it has corrosion. Any ideas?

Not the best pic you have there, but it looks more like a cast reproduction then stamped. Look at the edge for a seam.

Nice find even if it had a seam. A bit out of the ordinary.

I'm with you on that one and I think most hunters in this as a hobby would also agree. It's about enjoying your time out there hunting. When something pops out out of the ground that's a little bit different or interesting so much the better. In the meantime, keep searching, enjoy the time and peace that comes with detecting. There is still good stuff to find.
