Nail puller? Perhaps a valve spring tool?

I am not so sure the tip is broken off...

I suspect it is half a handle broken at attachment point

Could be, but the way it is bent looks like it was used for prying?

The end looks modified with the half moon being off center.

Where and how was it found?

I agree with Bigfoot. I believe I have seen something very close to this in the past on a metal door. The hole was used for bolting onto the door and the handle end was bent out so you could get your hand around the bar without pinching your hand against the door.

I cant get past that it is part of a lever, farm implement etc.its shape, thickness indicates this to me.far too many possibilities to know for sure.If found in a field, farm etc.then I would be even more confident.

Mick56. It reacted to a lead test, so I think there is lead in it. It also has some green on it... oxidation? I used my Dremel to clean off a small portion....and there is a golden metallic color to it
