Funny, I went to look and ended up at the other T-net thread you posted in on. It does resemble the Spanish one.

These small anchor design Tongue & Wreath buckles continue to turn up on occasion. The "Spanish Dirk Belt Buckle" as attributed to these on John Powell's website has come into question in recent times, considering that no known specimens of these buckles have been found in context with purely 18th or early 19th Century artifacts. The outer wreath features a life-preserver design, a further clue in establishing a later time period of manufacture and use.

Several excavated specimens of these Anchor buckle tongues and matching Life-Preserver wreaths have been found around popular swimming areas active in the early 1900's, leading to speculation that they may actually be from period swimwear.
