✅ SOLVED help with pin???

i found this today says sterling on back looks as thought it may have been some kind of pin came out of ground as pictured not cleaned nice and shiny and on back where it says sterling it looks like it may have been some kind of pin, also looks like some kind of fabric may have been attached to it found it about 10 inches down near old town hall/ school and in the same hole i found looks like 1912 mercury dime its about as round as half dollar and about as thick dont know ?? any help id apreciate it
