Went to an area on the north shore of LI that has old Gold Coast mansions. Found what I think is an old broach. It was about 6 inches in the ground and 19 on the Equinox. I usually detect the beaches and not dirt digging, so this was extra cool! Thanks for looking. Hope you all can get out and dig, as it is something relaxing that we can adhere to social distancing!

Nice silver broach. I can see where the pin was attached. I'm not very good at dating jewelry, but I would guess late Victorian era.
