OK boys and girls, here's a "Wazzit". Found on a late 1800s site.
I believe it to be a piece of tack/horse equipment, but I'm sure it had a specific use.
The object is two iron rings connected by a lead weight, the gray section in the middle.
A cookie for the person who gives me the most impressive answer.
