I recently acquired a pair of dressers from my grandmother. I don't know
their age but the crest inside the top drawer say Berkley & Gay Furniture
in a round brass logo. One dresser is a 4 drawer and the second is a
wider 3 drawer with mirror.
This is my first refinishing project, I started to sand down the tall one
before I noticed the make. The drawers are nicely dovetailed and the
construction looks pretty good. They aren't in the best shape but still
look pretty good with a coat of Tung Oil on it.
Please let me know if you suspect these are worth a bit too much for a
first time refinishing project. I can provide photos if it helps.
