Ok folks I use my 3030 on the beach with the 17 inch coil and after awhile my shoulder and elbow start hurting and it cuts down on my time looking for stuff. Anyways I thought about the minelab brace thing but it is $130 and I said no thanks because then I will lose my normal backpack and water bladder. My solution is just a simple bungee cord. It helps take some of the weight off my arm. Cord attaches to the detector then to the ring on my backpack and just adjust till it takes some weight off.

You can try the Detecting Buddy too. It's reasonably priced and works great IMO.
