I was able to get out and check a small part of a sidewalk tear out near my home after work. I had missed a large area of competed construction before I realized that the sidewalks were being replaced. Most of the tear out today had been filled in with stone or cement so only the area in front of 1 house was open to be searched. I only found 2 pennies that were both post wheat cent era and a round brass item that turned out to be a Henry Clay presidential candidate pendant.

Description of Henry Clay below
HENRY CLAY : Leader of the Whig party and five times an unsuccessful presidential candidate, Henry Clay (1777-1852) played a central role on the stage of national politics for over forty years. He was secretary of state under John Quincy Adams, Speaker of the House of Representatives longer than anyone else in the nineteenth century, and the most influential member of the Senate during its golden age. In a parliamentary system, he would have undoubtedly become prime minister.
