What are you using to take the photos? Your tablet? Do you have a smartphone? I dont know. Apparently he thinks its an ancient coin from a shipwreck. I wish we had better pics to work with.

A double headed coin sounds odd. Isnt gold and silver called Electrum? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrum Im thinking take the money lol but you may want to wait on advice from some of the European members but we need better photos. Better yet get a second opinion.

Does it look like gold, is it heavy like gold? Or does it look plated?

Why would he think it ties to a shipwreck? Did you find it on the beach? Without a decent photo it may impossible for us to tell if its authentic. Is there even an authentic coin that looks like this? :dontknow: Crusader or Silver Searcher could help.

This one is grey metal under the shiny plating. henry.webp

I'll get better pics, does have grey metal underneath. It was found in Newark New Jersey when my friends Grandfather was eight years old digging up potatoes. Coin dealer gave them a standing offer so they can still cash out. Doesn't have a loop at the top of coin like a pendant or four points like the other photos in mystery fob. I'll ask for the lab results to better identify it.

I think I see the base metal in your first pic and the edge looks corroded like the loop could have broken off. If it has grey metal underneath, its plated.

Can you take a photo of the lab results?
