buff & "V" from same roll, plus the elusive 43-D------ now I can sell a full set of war nickies---- with over 600 war nicks.... only 3 have been this rare low mintage issue

Nice finds...gotta be happy with that great variety of finds.

So the 1943D mintage makes up 1.76% of the total war nickel mintage. You're 1943D's make up 0.50% of your war nickel finds. This lines up with the geographical factor theory. Basically, you're going to find more Phillies out your way and less Denvers. I have observed the same thing with dimes. When I lived closer to Denver I found more 'D' coins and now that I live closer to Philadelphia I find more 'P'/no MM coins.

Love the '05 "V". In my CRH career, I've found 2... an '05 nearly identical to that one and a slick 1912.
