I have another two bottles that I need some help with. I hope I am not taking too much advantage of you guys, with all I am putting up for ID help. If I am, someone please say so, no hard feelings, and I'll stop for awhile.

The first is a large bottle about 9 1/2" tall X about 3 3/4" in diameter. On the shoulder, or whatever it's called, of the bottle the word "PUREX" is printed twice and along the bottom edge is a circle with an "L" inside and the number "8" just to the right of that.

The second bottle is much smaller, at about 6" tall X about 2 3/8" in diameter. Along the shoulder, or ?, are the words "_ 250 MILS". There is nothing else embossed on this bottle.

Hey Johnny,

Purex bleach began business in 1922 in Los Angeles. Your bottle was made by WJ Latchford Glass Co., and is an early one.

"L in an oval (or a circle, somewhat horizontally flattened, seen on bottles)……….W.J.Latchford Glass Company, Los Angeles, California (1925-1938); this became the Latchford-Marble Glass Company (1938-1956); and then, Latchford Glass Company (1957-c.1989). Mark was first used approximately 1925, although during the “Latchford-Marble” era, the mark “LM in an oval” was used instead." GLASS MANUFACTURERS' MARKS ON BOTTLES & OTHER GLASSWARE~~ PAGE TWO

The smaller one appears to be a similar era chemical bottle with a 250 milliliter capacity to the line.

Old post, I know, my apologies but found a nice chunk of amber glass that said suntex. I can’t seem to find any info on it. Help? Thanks!
