Here is an IDEA you may or may not LIKE OPINIONS REQUIRED !!

A lot of detectors not have a rechargeable battery. If for some reason your battery goes dead while detecting you probably quit and go home. I went to Walmart and bought a couple power bank batteries. Now if my head phones , Controller, or my pinpointer(MI 6) go dead I have cords on me that i can CHARGE THEM while still detecting.

Nice work around , mine takes 4 AA batteries and takes a long time to drain them . I do check the battery level indicator meter before heading out.

My Minilabs have rechargeable and also can use regular AA batteries. I always carry extra aa batteries and a portable power pack to charge anything needed, primarily my phone. Good advice Gare.

I have a power bank that's always fully charged with me just in case. I also have an emergency charger from XP that holds a single AA battery but it can only charge once, then the battery needs to be replaced. Both of my detectors are rechargeable so I want to be prepared.

Gare is talking about the Equinox detector which has an internal battery, backup power banks work very well for the Equinox.

My Liberator only take one Alkaline only ( 9 volt ).Runs for 20 hours .Still get 20 hours run time after years of detecting.
