I was asleep about 1:00 AM and was awakened by a lightening strike. Then the wind came up from the East shaking the house, then came hail. A hail stone hit my tin roof - sounded like softball sized, then the rain was thunderous on my roof. And then it sounded like a freight train going through up the holler from me.

I was absolutely concerned. But then it died down and I went to sleep. Looked out be back just now and didn't see any trees down, and we have power.

My only worry now is that my bridge is still passable.

That was a rough one.

It's still cold, wet, & nasty out there.
When will it get warm and stop raining?

Got to love Spring weather in PA. Out digging yesterday in T-shirt and shorts, sweating in the sun, 24 hours later watching snow fall...

I took a walk down to my bridge, and it is still passable but with plenty evidence the creek went over the bridge again. Cleaned out the culverts again from all the tree limbs stuck in them. Took a look at the tin roof for dents, but lucky once again. Sunny and warm out there right now.

This has been a crappy winter and its not getting better yet here in MI
