John, Carl, Duane or Ronald?

He meant Carl Clausen. Carl was the state of Florida's first underwater archaeologist, and the guy charged with over-seeing the treasure salvors working the offshore shipwrecks starting back in the early 60's. Carl was also co-author with Bob Burgess of the famous book, Florida's Golden Galleons. As I understand it, he was not very well liked by the treasure hunters at that time.

Clausen is now serving basically a life sentence for murdering his wife, and attempting to shoot law enforcement officers who arrived at his house.

I went to the link on this thread and looked at Clausen. Then for fun, I searched for some of my old neighborhood buddies from Miami and FOUND ONE!

Too funny, well, not for him I guess.
