Here's a strange one...
I got out for a short hunt last week Wed. night and went to my "original farmhouse." The yard is full of signals and always a challenge to hunt. I have found some neat relics here so I always dig any good signal, regardless of how large it pinpoints. This night I dug my first key tag and some other stuff including a longish piece of metal. Cleaning it up later I saw numbers and writing on it. It is the back to an old thermometer and is labeled "Freezing, Temperate, Sumr Heat", and in the 90-100 range "Blood Heat." Blood heat? We puzzled on that one until we figured it must be an older term for "body temperature." Weird, wacky stuff!
