Check out my thread in classifieds for the new detector stand I'm building

That 3 cent piece is a Find ! do you realize how few of those we see dug up and posted on this site - I've seen way more 3 cent
silvers posted here, than the nickels - go figure ! ( i'll have to get the red book out and look at the mintages)

Oh I know I was pumped up! It was hitting like a gold ring but it was like the best signal of the day that I had! It's definitely one to add to my personal best!!! My 1853 half dime is still older though... And my 22 large cent still my oldest to date coin wise!!

That's a beauty Petrie. I'm still waiting for my first 3 center, but as had been said, they don't pop up too often. Looks like you got at least one nice local bottle also.

Yeah we have pulled good stuff from this hilltop site

Really, that's a weird date considering the dates on everything else we found! And the coffee filter was in a late 1800's early 1900's bottle dump!!

congrats on the 3-center, it's in great shape!

Definitely from a old perkulator coffee pot, congratulations on the coin find. A not so easy find.

it's a ''brew basket" from a perk type coffee pot...you can still find them today........nice hunt

Thanks for all the info guys
