Devil's advocate here.

If the bigger holes indicate it was a nutting stone, what were the little holes for ?
 

I have no ideal why
 

There is a theory that stones like this could have been used to shape antler billets for flint knapping. It's a cool find also the smaller holes could be for shaping punches for notching. Just an idea!!!!
 

Any particular reason for not just adding the picture to your original thread instead of starting a new one?
