Just a note from a new guy here, and was just wondering how many "sub-surface" hunters we have around here. I live in northern lower, and will scuba dive the local mud hole, if i think there may be something in it!

That pic was taken under the ice last Feb. during some training at Camp Grayling. Diving our inland lakes has been awesome for finding all sorts of things. The reason I came to this forum was to find out if anyone in the area was actively looking for a wreck called the "Westmoreland". Most accounts say the wreck had its gold salvaged, but I'd still like to see for myself, ya know?

Ive heard of it, Ive got a buddy who does a lot of ice diving, mostly in Lake Michigan, dives some wrecks, he does a lot of deep dives, that would make me nervous. ive read some of the history of the wrecks on the great lake. its hard to believe how many ships and people that lost their lives not to mention the valuables lying at the bottom.
