Hey Ya'll! From Tennessee!

Hey everybody!

I am SO new to this that I should be typing in GREEN! :happysmiley::happysmiley::happysmiley:

JUST starting out, don't even HAVE a metal detector yet, but my mother is adamant about making this her new hobby. (She recently retired and can't drive herself). I'm looking forward to the fun quality time with her out and about while my kiddos are in school, and of course, seeing her light up whenever we find a treasure, whatever that may be.

I hope we can all help each other out! I'm open for any suggestions you may have about a great detector for us.

Thanks!:hello2:

You might consider browsing Sub-Forums: Tennessee for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state.

Welcome to Tnet from another Tennessean. Hope you and your Mom have a ball. Feel free to send a message if I can ever answer any questions. One of the best hobbies out there for hunters to "pass it on". Read the sticky at the top of forums when you first start. An example would be posting in the "What is it" forum. Will tell you how to measure etc to have the best chance for getting an ID. Just seeing what some of these folks find will sure get ya motivated. Best of luck.:hello:

Thanks for the welcome you guys! We are getting super excited to be able to go out and hunt! I will prob be contacting some of you re: equipment. Yay!!!
