Hi- Folks!!! Been busy hunting that elusive gold. Anyhow... this ended up in my sluice box. Some form of gemstone.Black with diffrent colors as well amber crystal.

I'm hoping it is a black diamond!!!! "Go ahead shoot me down from the clouds.." makes a nice clinking sound in my glass tube anyway.

Any help is much appreciated!!!!
Thanks in advance!!!!

Rob

pretty cool piece has the colors of a fire agite, but dont know what it is

Looks like it might be a chunk of blackjack (sphaelerite). I have some crystals that appear very similar........Bob

Looks like a garnet to me . I've gotten them in the past in my sluice.

I cant make it out completely...

Could be garnet, or obsidian? ??? Im leaning on garnet.

Regardless, a lovely little specimen for your collection.

Hi guys, It could be a small bit of slag. Any old processing sites in the location where it was found?
