Hi Cris,
Welcome. I was lucky enought to visit North Island about 10 yrs ago. It looked like a treasure hunting paradise to me. I saw miles of beaches with no one on them. I remember a large park in Auckland with a train museum nearby. Hundreds of people sitting in the park and losing all kinds of things. Good luck
