Since it's pouring rain today and not a day to get out and detect, I figured I would finally join the forums after being a long time lurker. One of my work mates took me out detecting several years ago and got me hooked, so I took the plunge last year and bought my own detector, the CTX-3030. I'm constantly amazed with this machine and how well it works.
I'm located in Agawam/Feeding Hills and there are a lot of old houses/parks/schools in the area. I love researching the history and finding new places to go explore. My best find to date has been an 1806 Draped Bust Half-Cent that I found in Maine while on vacation.
I'm hoping to meet some like-minded individuals in the area and get out to do some detecting together.
