Found a new dot in the old woods this weekend. Beautiful spot, wasn’t expecting much more than a brisk hike. Pics are results of 4 hours of swinging. Not sure what the Green Cab Chain Checks tags are for. Definitely will be back this weekend. Thx
Great day out ... congrats 👏 👏

Very nice stuff, I found something similar to the silver object in the first picture to the far left on an 1880s ranch site in Colorado. Is it thin like foil and stamped sterling on the front? Just curious, cool place too looked like a fun day.

Wow very nice. That badge is killer.

Lots of cool finds! Congratulations on the silver! Also, on all the other recoveries. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome haul! Any idea what those brass rings are next to the musketballs? I found one of those recently and thought it looked old but wasn’t sure what it was…

Actually one of those is a musket ball, the other is a clay marble. I believe the small brass rings are frames for fabric buttons. Thx

It is definitely silver, but I can’t find a sterling mark, not foil thin, but thin. I think it is from a Victorian mirror, hair brush or some other ornate turn of the century piece.

The area may have been logged in the past and the chain checks may be tool tags the loggers used. Nice little hot spot you found.

Awesome!!! Congrats!!!

You are giving me the desire to get out but my hunting will not start until deer season ends in mid January! In case you didn't know it the round piece with the four nubs on it in pic 6 is a radiator cap probably from the 20s-early 30s.

Now that's a great bunch of finds - congrats !

I've found a several of those "Red Goose Shoe's" Tokens.
They were popular children's shoes - 1930's - 1950's era.

Your new dot in the woods produced really well. Congrats on a fantastic selection of finds. I agree with everone else...the Lone Ranger badge is my favorite.
