Can you make out any writing, I'm thinking it might be a button.

I cannot make out the writing but idk how they could be a button without having a mark on the back

Would anybody know how old the buttons are? Or are they useless like something of recent years ??

It has eroded from being in the ground so long/falls apart or people fool around with it, that is clearly a button and not a coin.
