Back in the late 70's I was up in a gold bearing area of far northern Ontario.
I knew some old timers who worked in the mines when they were operating but were closed when I was there.
(a lot of new stuff was done in the 90's on, even working the old milling piles)
But, one old timer gave me two samples he had of 'High Grade' ore.
I have heard that sometimes a good looking sample can be worth more than it's actual gold content value.
Do some of you Hard Rock miners market some of your finds that way?
and any idea what my two specimens might fetch?
