My friend Keith and I decided to head south on Sunday. The beaches in our area have been sanded in now for a few months. On this trip I had the pleasure of helping a family celebrate their daughters birthday. While I was water hunting a woman asked me to help them find her daughter's ring. She had just graduated from high school. Both the mother and daughter were visibly shaken from the loss of her ring and it was having a bad effect on their birthday celebration. Fortunately other family members remained in the area of water where the ring was lost which made my job a lot less stressful. This was the second ring return for me in the last two weeks. I know that findig gold is a great thrill but returning a ring or other piece to a person is worth much more than the value of the piece. If you have never had the chance to do a return I hope there comes a time in each of your lives that you experience the thrill. I think it is equal or better to having a good find. I know that it is for me. The family thanked me and told me I would have a great day. I did have a pretty good day. Six rings and a watch. Happy hunting out there and stay safe.
