High tension wires

Is there or would there be an issue searching a swimming hole area that has high tension wires over it? There about 30 feet in the air. Don't want to damage my detector. Thanks

They won't damage your detector but will create a ton of interference. Some machines work better than others around power lines.
Give it a try, you might hit a spot that others have walked away from.

thanks as soon as the ground thaws I'll give it a go.

The wires may cause EMI... if the machine gets chatty just trun down the Sen/Gain.... till she cools off
